Conker Nature - Branding
Conker Nature is a UK based ecology magazine publication focusing on wildlife education & storytelling through print and digital media. They are on a mission to inspire all ages of wildlife lovers, to appreciate the outdoors, and to ignite that curiosity spark about the wonders of nature.
They have asked us to provide an extensive branding package including custom type- and illustration based brand assets for their launch.
CUSTOM LOGOTYPES
KEY BRAND ILLUSTRATION
For the key brand mark, we have designed this fox, hiding in a forest; The viewer can just about make out the basic shape of the animal, as he is hiding behind all these plants, vines, and of course, conkers.
Very early on, as we developed work for the project, the client and us agreed, that curiosity needs to be visuallly represented in all these visuals - curiosity is the key to wildlife education and crucial for the love of nature. The willingness to expand the knowledge in the mind.
LITTLE CONKERS SUB-BRANDING
‘Little Conkers’ is a part of this brand specially aimed at children. Conker Nature puts a lot of effort into inspiring the younger generations, through articles, workshops and evy other way they feel they can! They believe that them and young people in general, the ones that protest for the survival of the planet, are the ones that will ultimately save it, so they need to make sure they feel that they have a voice within Conker Nature, from an early age.
Little Conkers also needed a curious visual to awaken people’s interest, so here we have a little hedgehog, who has half a conker husk as his back. Or maybe he stuck in a conker? Either way he is a rather curious fellow…
