Branding
Lemon & Jinja is Romsey-based ethical & zero waste startup company, notably the first plastic free store in its area. They are a packaging & waste free store, set up and ran by Jess & Grace Dugdale - sisters who have been traveling around the world, and got inspired to start their business after a life-changing visit to Africa. Jinja (pronounced 'ginger') is a town based on the historic source of the Nile in Uganda.
Their whole brand phylosophy is based on the idea of simplicity, and keeping everything natural, so for their logo we came up with the simple concept of mixing the recycling-symbol with visual elements of a lemon. Black line-based mark, which was important, because they wanted a logo that can easily be replicated, as it is hand drawn onto a number of different items, packaging, and sings in the store.
Here’s what the client said about the work;
“…For us it is perfect – clear, concise and expresses our vision brilliantly. They were happy to make a few changes and help us with other bits on our end. If we need to, it is still easy to get in contact with him. We have had so many compliments on our logo as it isn’t ‘messy’ or difficult to understand. And it looks brilliant painted on pallets!…”
